Community Learning Environment:

EBI specializes in providing collective, self-motived learning opportunities.  You are part of a group of other students who are participating in this program together. Think of this course as a mini, private, social site just for your cohort, where you can all connect, share and explore the concepts taught together.  The “Course Discussion” is the main news feed area for the site, it is where you can interact with each other and support each other’s progress, and encourage each other to take your inspirations out into the world. You can access that almost anywhere on the site.

Certification of Completion:

To obtain a Certification of Completion, you need to complete all 6 “lessons” and “topics” as mapped out below. This is entirely up to you.  You can do as much as you’d like and at your own speed.

Hello all, I’m Wayne Brown and have pursued coaching as a profession intermittently for a few years. I decided to combine nature and coaching and found Michael Jospe’s program. The current COVID-19 has made me consider my future profession more carefully. I look forward to the program and working with Michael and the cohort.

    Greetings!

My name is Sara – I will be dialing in from my home in the PNW where I work as a public school teacher. I’ve been following EBI for several years now with the intention of participating in the full Nature-Connected Coaching program eventually. I feel that time drawing nearer, and as such, was inspired by the recent e-mail regarding this opportunity. I was particularly struck by the line, “We are being called to reflect deeply on what we have been putting our time and energy into, and to make changes that bring us into more alignment with who we are and who we want to be in the world.” This could not ring more true for me right now.

I look forward to learning and growing with each of you over the next couple of months, and hopefully beyond.

    Be well,

    Sara

    Hello all-
I am Stacy Prater-Vigil and I am an environmental educator and a certified coach through IPEC. Until recently, I was teaching special education for students who have Autism, or were are developmentally disabled or vision impaired. My husband and I have just moved to San Diego after living in Nevada City, California for the last 12 years. I am currently employed at Ocean Discovery Institute as an instructor. I am looking to lead retreats at my friends’ retreat center where we can contribute to making a difference on the planet by helping others to connect with our natural world. I look forward to getting to know my classmates.

    Greetings All!
Good to “see” all of you yesterday in the classroom. AS I said then, they call me “Doc”, and that is just fine for you too as well. I teach psychology online and in the classroom, and also hold workshops as an introduction to nature therapy based on Shinrin-Yoku and therapeutic laughter. My curriculum for laughter therapy is my own and I have been beating that drum for decades. My dissertation research was on the therapeutic efficacy of laughter and I like to say that the only thing I take seriously–is laughter. AS I also shared yesterday, laughter is my religion and nature is my sanctuary. I lived in the mountains of southern California as a child, and couldn’t stand leaving it. My best friends are trees.

But that’s enough about me. I look forward to seeing you all in class.
    Laugh often-
    :Doc

    Hello All,
So wonderful to be part of a great group! I look forward to gaining new insights and wisdom
along with all of you. We are in the mix of a time of embracing one another now more than ever in our world. I see this time period for great opportunity to learn from our native roots and the gifts the earth provides for all of us to use as we navigate forward.
    Kind Hearted Regards,
    Vicki

    Hi All,

I’m Sophie from Australia, I’m a nurse and have a very new coaching practice. I finished a transformative coaching course last year focusing on leadership. I have a love for adventure and the outdoors that led me to EBI. I found EBI late last year and I’m diving into the NCC program over the next year or so. I’m so looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow. I have got my timezones sorted now.

    Sophie 🙂

    Hello,
My name is Sarah. I teach a class on Tuesdays so I am unable to attend until June., but I am very much looking forward to meeting this cohort of nature minded people. As a coach I find that most of the answers we seek are found either within us or in nature. My goal in coaching is ultimately to help clients be in harmony with nature and the rhythms of the earth.

Hey everybody! My name is Kelly. I live in Wilmington, NC. Nature has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. It has an intense calming effect on me and I feel at home when outside. I have worked as a pastry chef for the past 11 years and am ready to leave that life behind to help others. When I realized nature connected coaching was a thing, I knew I found my next calling. Excited to take this journey with you guys!

Hello future friends! My name is Allyson and I live in STL with my husband, our 8 cats, 2 dogs and 3 fish tanks. I am an animal rights and women’s rights activist, a vegan, and passionate gardener. I think that my biggest connection with the Earth are the trees, and I’d like to help others find that love as well. There is a lot of hate and sorrow here in STL and it pains me that so many have grown up with out love and affection. I would like to run a sanctuary for rescued slaughterhouse animals and help at risk youth connect with animals and farming. I’ve been interested in this program for some time now, but with the recent passing of my soulmate Paco, our senior pup, I feel I have the focus and commitment to complete the program and change the world. I can’t wait to see what we all accomplish together!
    Take it easy,
    Allyson
