Group Mentoring with Daniel Brisbon and Sheri Peterson.

This course houses recorded videos from monthly meetings with Daniel and Sheri to discuss a variety of topics on nature-connected coaching, ICF Core Competencies, and other relevant areas on the journey of becoming a professional life coach.

Please see the video topics below and open the drop-down.

Topics that were discussed in this webinar:

  • How to break the ice with a potential client after they have filled out your intake form
  • Having the “money talk” with a client or potential client and how to create an expansive relationship with your worth and value as a nature-connected coach
  • How to introduce nature-connected coaching to a stranger or friend that has no idea what it is. How to answer the question, “What do you do for a living?”
  • Moving from pain & moving towards pleasure with a client

Sheri guided the group through some powerful questions to help focus on your gifts and skills as a nature-connected coach. These are also great questions to hold with clients in a coaching session as well.

It is an exercise that will help our students see how they are unique, what their strengths and and how to bring them into the coach they are choosing to become. Check out the questions we covered below:

  • What feels effortless? Think about activities where you are in control and completely comfort.
  • How do you amaze others? Think about that one thing (or more) that you are repeatedly told you’re good at.
  • What are you passionate about? Not just in a way that makes you happy, but in a way that makes you want more, even if it means hard work and sacrifice.
  • When are you most confident or fearless? Think about the experiences where you were most comfortable and who helped you get there?
  • If there was an extra hour in every day, how would you spend it?
  • Why do you want to become a Nature Connected Coach?

And if you want to take this exercise a step further, then invite friends or loved ones that you trust to answer these questions about you!

Topics discussed in this webinar:

  • How to articulate and describe Nature-Connected Coaching and Partswork with someone who knows nothing about it!
    • Focus on “What is NCC?”,
    • “Why is it important and beneficial?”
    • and “How does it work for you?”
  • How to keep your energy high on this journey of becoming a professional coach
  • Managing Expectations and Attachments
  • How do you choose to be seen in your business?
    • Rather than focusing on how people might perceive you
    • Define the ideal qualities, values, and attributes that you choose to embody in this work
  • BOUNDARIES!
    • Practice Partswork with the boundaries you hold for yourself and for others
    • People Pleasing vs. Self Leadership
    • It is OK to possibly disappoint others by holding your boundaries!
    • Boundaries create freedom and stronger relationships with others!
    • When you have a strong vision then you are able to create clear boundaries, expectations and values to help you thrive in this work!

Topics discussed in this webinar:

– Creating your unique blend of Toolbox skills as a Nature-Connected Coach (Gestalt, Trauma, Partswork, Brain and Change, Grief, Long Term Coaching)

– Being your own best client! Self-Severance should be a daily practice in your life!

– The incredible value of having a cohort/group of support on your journey of guiding transformation

– How to be grounded and resourced when friends, loved ones, the world reacts or responds from contraction or expansion when we step into vision and our soul-centered journey. And how do we empower clients that will experience this as well?

Change and transformation shakes up the baseline within yourself which influences and impacts your surroundings differently. Some people will love it, some people may dislike it. Both are OK.

Topics discussed in this webinar were profound! If you want to empower your vision to a whole new level then check out the exercise we did together! And practice it yourself!

Topics discussed in this webinar:

  • How to know if your client is truly stepping into a Threshold experience (or just doing something because it feels good)
  • Bringing in clarity and intention for Threshold
  • What a Threshold truly is!
  • Being OK with trusting intuition as a NCC with your client as they step into Threshold
  •  Sheri’s recent Wilderness Quest experience (every NCC should quest!)
  •  BE OK WITH BEING EDGY AS A COACH!
  •  Speak Your Vision Exercise! Check this out!

Topics discussed in this webinar:

“The quality of our feeling impacts and influences the quality of our thinking and perceiving.”

“We attract what we are. We attract people, circumstances, events that match our dominant thoughts and feelings.”

Sheri Peterson took us on an epic journey into the core concepts that are covered in this book. She shared about the RULER Method, using a MOOD Meter to broaden your emotional vocabulary and why it is important, and how 7 Breaths meditation can be a great compliment to building emotional awareness and regulation within ourselves and our clients!

This was a powerful deep dive and I highly recommend you watch this webinar to gain some key insights into how you can leverage your coaching skills to a master level by learning about the intricacies of emotions and how powerfully they influence our lives and reality.

“We all experience the same emotions, yet we all hide from one another.”

This Group Mentor Meeting explored a highly supportive topic on your journey of becoming a professional nature-connected coach. How to eloquently and effectively hold space with another person!

When your client is going through that transitional period from Old Self to New Self, we call that the Threshold. And as a coach, the greatest gift you can give your client during this part of their journey is your presence, your attention and your powerful questions!

Sheri did a wonderful job of creating slides on some of the relevant topics from the book The Art Of Holding Space by Heather Plett to share with the students in this most recent GMM webinar.

Some of the transformative insights and topics shared by Sheri were:

  • How to let go of “fix it” mode or trying to problem solve so that your client can tap into their own internal wisdom
  • How to learn the art of holding space in a culture that does not embrace it
  • How to hold space for yourself so that you may do the same for others
  • How Nature is the greatest space holder out there
  • How to model and embody holding space so that your clients feel safe and supported to do the same with you
