Bio | Born in South America amongst the Quechua people of Bolivia I have travelled the Western Hemisphere extensively and been blessed with rich experiences that have brought adventure, challenge, growth and the wisdom of diverse cultures. In recent years I’ve been in the PNW where I’m an independent Cultural Consultant and I lead Cultural and Heritage organizations through times of change, creation, growth, development and community building and engagement. I am currently inspired by the work I’m involved with in the decolonization of a long-standing arts organization as well as the design of a new cultural center. I’ve been fortunate to work with many First Nations groups to bring their culture and stories to light and I find this work very rewarding and inspirational as I believe that indigenous wisdom and indigenous relationships to the earth, in particular here on ‘Turtle Island’, are essential for reconciliation and any kind of prosperity here. I’m also a homesteader and 6 years ago I became the guardian (I prefer the title of guardian over that of “owner”) of a 130 year old 30-acre wilderness farm and spend much of my time preparing the land for its own ‘decolonization’ and healing. In these times my work inside and outside and the many threads this work bears are all slowly coming together like tributaries leading to the river of my Soul and all is aligning in deeply profound ways. This course is one of those tributaries. As I fix up this storied piece of earth and the buildings on it, I also fix myself up. And those who visit here are often led further in their own journeys of healing. This work and its process and experience has been extraordinary on so many deep soul levels – more than I can express here. I enjoy making music and building with reclaimed materials. I am always seeking to develop and learn each and every day and I am so very grateful for each aspect of my life. Throughout my life I have found myself in leadership roles and I’m very inspired and excited about adding Nature Connected Coaching tools and skills to my internal work, my external work and the work here on this land. I very much look forward to getting to know and learning from all who will be on this journey. |
