Nature-Connected Leadership – Fall 2019

Welcome to Nature Connected Leadership!

Community Learning Environment:

EBI specializes in providing collective, self-motived learning opportunities. You are part of a group of other students who are participating in this program together. Think of this course as a mini, private, social site just for your cohort, where you can all connect, share and explore the concepts taught together. The “Course Discussion” is the main news feed area for the site, it is where you can interact with each other and support each other’s progress, and encourage each-other to take your inspirations out into the world. You can access that almost anywhere on the site.

Certification of Completion:

To obtain a Certification of Completion, you need to complete all 6 “lessons” and “topics” as mapped out below. This is entirely up to you. You can do as much as you’d like and at your own speed.

Course Description

Starts September 17th!

The focus here is on personal, soul-directed leadership through nature connection. The course will involve one-on-one coaching, direct mentorship, and bimonthly video conferences. It’s a perfect continuation of the good work you’ve put into motion, but with some fantastic upgrades.

One-on-One Coaching: Each participant will be paired with a qualified student or alumni of our Nature-Connected Coaching program for regular life-coaching sessions.
Direct Mentorship: Like with the full NCC certification program, this group will have a Student Mentor. The Student Mentor is like a Teaching Assistant but with a focus on group development and individual goals. This will bring a high level of attention and continuity to your experience. The Student Mentor will be very interactive in the online discussion forums, attend all video calls, and will maintain a consistent point of contact for you during the program.
Biweekly Video Conferences: These video calls will be live with Michael. The content will be focused on tools for nature awareness, self-awareness, and soul-centered direction. These will be new tools from what was learned in the Level 1 course. Here is a list of some of the highlights:

Hi Everyone
I’m from UK and have only recently joined this course and catching up with the modules. I’m hoping I can attend one of the live webinars, if I can stay awake as its late at night for me.
I was introduced to Tom Brown twenty years ago, someone gave me his book Grandfather. I read it to my ten year old son and as I was reading it I felt something wake up in me, a yearning to learn more, to train in this earth-based skills. I had an image of working with lots of children.

I sought out training in the UK and found Thomas Schorr-con who had trained with Tom Brown and was leading courses here. Following a year’s course and survival quest with Thomas, I felt the next step was to travel to the states and do some training with Tom Brown. My experience of training at the Tracker school and meeting Tom Brown was life changing.

In 2002, I started my own Bushcraft and Nature Awareness school in the south of England working with many children as I had imagined when reading Tom’s book. Seventeen years on and I have worked with many people old and young from all walks of life. I’m passionate about sharing nature with people in a world where many our staved of any connection with the out-doors.

Over the years, I have found that many people whilst being immersed in nature quite naturally start processing or questioning their lives and as a result I found that I would naturally step into the role of coach. It seemed the obvious next step for me to train in coaching. I qualified as an mBit Coaching Course a year ago.

Recently, I have been searching for a nature based coaching course, I couldn’t find anything here in the UK that I really connected with. Then I stumbled on this on-line course with EBI. Reading the course content and watching the videos, I could feel my heart singing with delight, I knew this was the course for me! And of course it is, its teachings are deeply connected to Tom Brown’s and Jon Young’s teachings. I’m delighted to be hear on this journey with you all.

Happy Fall! I am joining this course ever so late with only one opportunity to be on with you all Tuesday the 12th. My name is April and I live in the Hudson Valley, NY. Like most of you I am sensitive to the profound impact and energy nature plays on my mental, physical, and spiritual self. As a coach and Executive HR person, it is my goal to help incorporate this knowledge and work into my repertoire.

Now what did I miss? Lol!
