When I think about coaching and or guiding others the first thing that comes to my mind is “Who” wants to see change, who wants to make a difference and who is willing to go the extra mile to do so. When I think about the population, anyone and everyone falls into this category. But here recently I have been thinking about high school graduates, kids about to go off to college and not know what they want to do, so they follow in family and friends footsteps. I believe if we can get in front of them and help guide them or coach them then they will figure out what “Their” medicine is in the world and that will make a big impact on the world today and not waist years not knowing.

For my client and I to even get close to Threshold I must get the client to fully TRUST. By doing that I let my client talk about whatever is on their mind, by doing that I am more attune about where my client is at that moment (their baseline)

At this point I like to do the 7 breaths with my client to help get them grounded and in the moment or NOW? By this time, I can track their baseline and flow with it, this helps my client get Centered and help them find their Deeper need or drop into Soul.

Once we are at that point, I go straight to the sacred questions, and reflect to my client or mirror their actions. By doing this I am learning to deepen my listening and understanding of my client.

Ecopsychology tells us that we don’t come into this world from somewhere else, but we are born out from it—we are a part of the earth and everything is connected. Ecology tells us that to be separate is not possible. What we do to the earth, we end up doing to ourselves and vice versa—on a psychic level as well as a physical one.

As individuals, we are looking for a new vision of how to be in this increasingly uncertain world. We are all looking for ways to re-imagine our responsibilities to this world, to write a new story or start over. New ways of being that lessen the confusion, and the unique challenges of these times. Our healing modalities are evolving now, to reflect the reality of our deep bond with nature As we begin to re-create and reclaim that relationship, we transform ourselves, and the world. Making sure that our clients understand how much POWER they have is BIG.

Yes I am late…Very late but I am showing up with my full self 🙂

Being Connected to Nature is the most powerful, healing feeling one can have. I did not realize this until my sister died in 2017, then followed by multiple deaths of family members, and people close to me. My body started reacting in ways that I did not understand. So instead of seeking nature, I went to the doctor and of course they had no idea what was going on, so pill after pill nothing was helping, I was still having seizures with no answers.

Until I was advised by my therapist at the time to do a (supervised) solo. I thought she was crazy lol

I remember hiking what seemed like an eternity to my solo spot in the woods with nothing but a sleeping bag and tarp. I spent 24 full hours laying in the grass, smelling nature all around me. My body and soul felt free. I knew my sister was there watching over me because nature showed me, she loved butterflies, the entire time I was at one with Nature so was this butterfly right next to me. The next day as I hiked around on the land I asked for a sign that she was ok and at peace, not long after that rain drizzled down on me, I knew it was her. 😊

I now can say that nature is healing, I am a firm believer in that due to the fact I’ve been seizure free and off all seizure medications to this day. 🙂

After that solo I knew I wanted everyone to experience this feeling, this relief, this gratitude I had felt after leaving the land. I knew I was ok and would be ok. That’s what connected to nature means to me.

Hi I’m Jackie and I am from Texas! I am so excited to be in Cohort 20 and meeting everyone. I’ve been in the IT industry for over 10 years and was introduced to the wilderness about 2 years ago when I needed figure out a way to grieve over a death in my family, that’s when I knew this was my calling, I want to help others, bring nature into their lives and show them how beneficial Nature is.
I look forward to meeting everyone on here.

My next step to personal development,to gain focus for the next chapter in EBI and Direction. Planning, travel, food. Pet sitting. In the mean time working on my leadership skills like parts work on a daily basis, sit spot, meditation, and daily life. I have a vision but I believe the next journey with EBI will defiantly lead me in the right direction to accomplish those goals.

In the past few months I have been following what my soul has been calling. I can say that starting EBI has put a clear Vision on what path is supposed to be. I used to be in the IT world, and if you asked me 10 years ago what my dream job was, I would tell you that working on computers was in my future. I am so happy that EBI and Crossed paths, I put everything I have into this and I know that being a life coach is where what I am supposed to be.

Parts work is amazing, after catching on to the concept of it and how it works, I work mine daily. Focusing on it and realizing “hey this is where I need to be” helps be not stay stuck in one place.
Also the sit spots with the meditations help with my breathing. I tend to breath in and out of my chest which tends to cause a lot of stress, so slow breathing out of my stomach and nose, helps me calm down and focus.

I love your post Cynthia, 90% client and 10% the coach. And listen deeply, for me that means from my soul, if I am not in Soul then I know for fact my client will not get 100% of me. Great post Cynthia 🙂

I agree Cynthia, Amanda probably answered her own question? 🙂 Also I believe you can facilitate one yourself as along as you are vision focused and staying connected to Goals and are willing to jump into the unknown and not be scared.

    Rachel,

I can relate to you about the sit-spot, I always ask myself ” Is this the correct sit-spot for me? Or how can I explain to my clients that it doesn’t matter where your sit-spot is, as along as you are Intune with it.

Also that little critic in my head, you are small and have always been small, why are you wanting to change now? I really relate to the statement “Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves,” Thank you for the reminder 🙂

Rachel, I can’t agree with you more about Amanda’s post. Slowing down/Quieting our own minds so we can hear our own intuition or self (soul) and trust that nature has all the answers. That is why when I see my clients I like to see them on the land and not over zoom. But when I do see a client on the web, I request they put some sort of plants or rocks around them as we do our session. I want them to actually feel, hear, and smell nature all around them. Even though I know that nature is all around us.
